Brittania originally established Aspen forensics and behavioral health in 2023 with the goal of providing specific services that related to those involved in the criminal justice system, and those experiencing sexually problematic behaviors who resided in typically underserved communities or struggle to find appropriate care that was competent, trauma informed and knowledgeable for the individual's specific needs throughout the entire state of Oregon.
Brittania is licensed in Oregon as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Sex Offender Therapist from the Oregon Sex Offense Treatment Board. Brittania achieved her Bachelor's degree in Applied Psychology from Oregon Institute of Technology and later pursued her Masters of Social Work degree from Portland State University. While pursuing independent licensure for clinical social work Brittania began working in community corrections providing community reintegration and behavioral change services to those convicted of sexual offenses in the adult justice system. Congruently, Brittania completed a Masters of Forensic Psychology through Walden University. During her clinical work Brittania has engaged in multiple trainings related to use of risk assessment tools, assessment techniques, and interventions related to addressing sexually problematic behaviors.
It is the belief of Aspen Forensics and Behavioral Health, as well as Brittania, that these behaviors can sometimes present as a symptom of trauma, mental illness and cultural factors that can be remediated and managed through holistic care that address responsivity issues such as mental illness, cultural factors, social learning, developmental interruptions and substance use.
Mackenzie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from Oregon Institute of Technology, earned in 2024. She has several years of experience working in behavioral health settings, with a strong focus on serving youth in residential treatment environments. Her professional background includes the delivery of Batterer Intervention Treatment and related programming, as well as extensive experience supporting sex offender–specific treatment services.
Mackenzie is currently interning in mental health therapy services and is pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at Portland State University. Her clinical focus includes working with individuals involved in the criminal justice system, serving both juvenile and adult populations.
Mackenzie approaches her work through a trauma-informed lens, recognizing the complex interplay between trauma history, behavior, and accountability—particularly among populations that are often stigmatized within both treatment and community settings. She emphasizes safety, transparency, and collaboration in the therapeutic process, while maintaining clear boundaries and expectations. Her approach balances empathy with responsibility, aiming to reduce shame, increase engagement, and support sustainable behavioral change through respectful, evidence-based intervention.
